About Author

Dr Satish Modh holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Management from the University of Mumbai. He is a postgraduate in Electronics Engineering and Financial Management. He is a senior executive with Air India and has over 20 years of cumulative experience in Aviation, Management and Training. Dr Modh is a keen researcher and has wide-ranging interests in the fields of Aviation, Strategic Management, Disaster Preparedness and Hindu Philosophy.

Dr Modh visited Kutch after the 26 January 2001 earthquake to help victims and to find out how people fought their cruel fate. Since then he has been organising lectures on disaster preparedness at various forums. He has edited and published books titled Vishwa Mangal Hetawe and Sanskriti Sangam, vols. I and II. He has published research papers on strategic management in prestigious Indian journals like Vikalpa, IIM Ahmedabad, ASCI Journal of Management, Hyderabad and Udyog Pragati, NITIE, Mumbai.
